Series and Parallel Circuits

by ddreyfuss

A parallel circuit has multiple pathways between its beginning and end, which means it has more than one path to take. This enables it to use one path if another fails. Since they are so fail resistant, parallel circuits are used in everyday electronics such as household wiring.

A series circuit has only one path source through all of the loads and back to the source. An example of a series circuit are christmas lights since they must rap around an entire house. series_Circuit
